We are going to install a stove in the cottage we are currently building. How much does it cost to hire someone for that (work for pipes, chimney, etc.) and how many hours does it normally take to do the job? We haven't closed off the attic where the stove pipe will go up to make it easier. I'm guessing it will be around 6m of pipe.
Then we have a dark red roof and I won't accept any other color for the chimney. BUT where on earth do I find a dark red chimney, I've searched like crazy online without success.

You have to see it on site and have more facts to make a full assessment, but if a hole is to be made in the outer roof as well, then a day for two men seems reasonable for a module chimney. Cost, say 8-10,000 SEK before ROT for the work.
Maybe you should ask a lacquering company to repaint the chimney cap.

I paid 300 for a used Hugo including chimney and cap, which I installed myself in an afternoon. Building notification around 700:- and inspection 400:- if I remember correctly.

If you're only going to have a STRAIGHT module chimney installed on a stove, it takes less than a day to fix (at least it does for me who doesn't do it professionally). In other words, it costs a few thousand kronor to have it installed.
From NVI (www.nvi.se) you can get hoods, etc., in any color. Others can probably do this too but I'm not sure. It will cost a few thousand extra but...

As mentioned, it's just the hood that needs to be red, and there should be no problem arranging that.
Another thing: you say you want to run the chimney through the kattvind. I interpret that as close to the eaves. The chimney must end a meter above the ridge (for the chimney sweep to approve it), so depending on the roof angle, it could be a long unsupported chimney.

The idea is for the pipe to go straight up into the kattvinden and then bend right towards the middle of the house, and then inside the bedroom angle upwards again and out through the roof. (between the support leg and cross beam) To get as close to the ridge as possible. We're planning to ensure it goes about 30cm above the ridge and of course 1m above the roof. I don't want a chimney that's several meters above the roof, so I'd rather have it angled inside. I hope the labor costs end at a maximum of 10,000 SEK since an insulated pipe, stove, chimney cap, etc., cost quite a bit on their own.

(between the support leg and cross beam) To get as close to the ridge as possible. We're planning to ensure it goes about 30cm above the ridge and of course 1m above the roof. When we received quotes, the costs were roughly 1/3 each for installation, chimney, and stove when the total was about 35". Most stove companies can probably provide a red chimney cap if you just ask! Otherwise, they calculate for black... But our red one is now a bit blackened on the edges from soot, and many don't seem to care about the color when you look around at houses.... Physically putting it up is nothing special, but then making it "rainproof" and perfect on the roof, I don't know if I want to take that on personally.

Don't care what others think about a black chimney with a red roof. As a woman, I refuse to take the easy route (ugly alternative) and buy a black one. It's far too visible a detail on the house. All white house and all sheet metal dark red = nice. What my man thinks matters less since I've made up my mind. But now it seems it's not impossible to find one in the right color code.
It's just getting everything sealed that I'm worried about. I'm also afraid that it will take too long to get it perfect myself, so I'd rather hire someone for this and focus my efforts on the rest of the cabin. I also saw that NVI has bends for a 38-degree slope, which we have. Just need to check the price from them.

Yes, I can't understand why in newly built areas they put a black chimney cap on a red roof, but sure, everyone can do as they like. I think one should choose the same color for all metalwork. If we had a brick-colored metal roof, it would have been easier to find an already pre-painted cap.
