I don't know if this is the right section, but I'll give it a try. I am going to install a new ceiling (Huntonit Plankett), and there's an old 60s ceiling there now, made of semi-porous boards. The ceiling is sloping, roughly half the width slopes towards the outer wall, and according to the Huntonit installation instructions, you should start at one wall. Now, the ceiling doesn't have the same measurements on both sides, and I want to end up with a seam along the slope break the entire length of the room (I hope someone understands what I mean). So now I'm wondering if it's possible to start where the "break" is and install outwards towards the walls instead? Can anyone explain how you've done it or would do it?
Yes, you can start in the corner if you want. The only problem you might encounter is if you're not using a ceiling mold, then you might get a slightly larger gap towards the wall to get the last board in place.
Thanks, now I know. By the way, does anyone know which way the not side should be positioned to achieve the nicest seam in the "crease"? I think the notch should be inward, but if I start in the "crease," I can go in two directions... I haven't gotten hold of the ceiling yet, so I can't try it out.
