I have bought a used Ecophon acoustic ceiling that I will install in the basement. It's the classic white ceiling with 60x60 panels and visible framework. Do you have any clever tips on how to do this to reduce the ceiling height as little as possible? I know this affects how low in frequency it dampens, but the ceiling height will be 221 cm when the floor is laid so we can't "afford" to reduce it too much.
I don't think it's necessary for the panels to be removable, however, I will recess some LED spotlights in it, but they don't build much.
My father suggested using perforated tape and a special screw, which I can't remember the name of right now. Something like quickdrill, easydrill or something. It should have a large head and be available in lengths down to 4 mm.

That's where the crux lies. Not in taking them down, but in putting them up. Normally, you install the framework first and then mount the tiles. At least the last row needs to be installed somehow. In my office, the acoustic ceilings are built about 70 mm. I would guess that the minimum is about 50. The most common way to attach the framework is with wire hangers, and if you bend the wire yourself, you can make it as short as you want.
First, mount the frame around the room, then the primaries and secondaries at the correct c/c.
Then it's just a matter of laying in the tiles at the end.
Hålband is needed if they are larger spans.
