Idea for solution between floor and fireplace?

I am decorating my attic and have put moldings on all the walls but am hesitating on how to do around the chimney?

I think it looks boring to use the same type of 95 mm white "antique molding" there as well. What is usually done?

I would have installed a slightly narrower unpainted strip or skirting that resembles the floor.

I had a skirting board with the same finish as the floor in a house. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture.
