I'm in the process of building a house and wanted to ask about how to handle plastic sheeting/vapor barriers here as the construction looks like this.
The house consists of 2 floors, so it will be heated above the intermediate floor as well. So I assume it should not be covered in plastic on the ceiling of the intermediate floor, only the exterior walls (correct me if I'm wrong).
But then the exterior wall where the intermediate floor rests on the beam. What's the best way to handle that?

Search "Hur gör snickaren" on YouTube, I think they're very good films. It may not fully answer your question, but a very good resource for amateurs building houses (which isn't actually that complicated).
Another good source is Svenskt Trä, which has complete drawings for many constructions, including a complete additional building of the type previously referred to as "Attefallare".

I have looked at that, but I seem to remember they make a single-story with a cold attic above, so they plastic the ceiling. But I might remember wrong, so I shall check again to see.jonmo said:

If the construction is to look like you are showing, you need to put a layer of vapor barrier before you install the beam for the intermediate floor. But how do you plan to build up the wall on the first floor when the beam lies outside the wall studs?
Yes, if I had been thinking clearly before I installed the 45 on the wall and placed the intermediate floor, I would have placed the plastic inside the 45, but I completely forgot about this.Matti_75 said:

But you mean noggins right in the 90-degree bend, so you get something to attach in the corner, between the floor/wall?

But you plastic the outer wall, then the plastic should go out a bit on the joist 5/10cm and be taped so that it's tight between the joist and the plastic (and between wall and floor structure). But the rest of the floor structure is left unplasticized. Am I thinking correctly then?BadrumFactory said:

Check out tecca's product, a floor sealing. Seems practical and becomes tight with their sealant.
