It is admittedly not a hunting tower I'm building, but it can be likened to one. I have cast four concrete blocks and soon the tower will be erected. There will be a stable floor on it.
As I see it, it should be enough with a diagonal from the block up to the floor. On one hand, it prevents the post it meets from moving outward. On the other hand, it supports the post it originates from since the floor cannot move towards it without compressing the brace.
Or is it foolishly frugal not to use crosses?

Diagonal braces on each side are enough for a hunting tower.
