When arguments run out, people resort to invective... quite common when someone doesn't want to or can't admit that they were wrong.

We can leave this - unless you want to get the last word and write something derogatory about me again. I believe that the OP has received an answer to their question and can solve their problem.
I have tried to saw as you explained, but only succeed with the sloped strip. Maybe. Then I tie myself in knots with the mirror thinking on the horizontal strip. I just can't get it right or suddenly don't understand your explanation đŸ˜¶

As my picture in the thread start shows, the strip on the sloped side is up (I've been busy with other things, so it never came down). I'm going to try puzzling with matching the horizontal strip before I attempt your method again.

Many have tried to explain, all have failed. It can't be explained with "take it at 135 degrees," or "the acute angle against the saw." None of this is clear.
You need an old carpenter on site to show you. I imagine that I can do this but have to try anew every time. I have learned to keep the damage to a minimum!

I think you need a magician or a woodcarver who can make a transition. These combinations of angles cannot be solved with a cut, no matter what angle it is at.
