Hello

I'm going to fix the stairs to our friggebod. One of the beams had "settled" and was no longer horizontal, the whole step was leaning. I tore off the step and took some photos that you can see here http://imgur.com/a/E1tK8

I hope you can see what the problem is, maybe the photos are not great but the left beam that the step is supposed to rest on has sort of "caved in" a bit.
You can see that the footing might have been placed incorrectly during installation, it should probably have been further in so that it supports the weight more "from above". Now it has to "take the weight at an angle"

How would you solve this? I'm 21 years old and have zero building experience so please describe it in simple terms...
Should I dig up and move the footing further in? As you can see on the right footing on the opposite side, it is placed further in
If I take off the beam, I should probably have some kind of temporary jack so the whole structure doesn't collapse?

grateful for simple tips

First, you need to start by supporting the rule piece that the corner is hanging on. The construction is not the best. Diagram showing support for a beam with an arrow indicating where to reinforce the corner structure before installing stair stringers.

After that, I believe the easiest solution with a staircase is to buy ready-made stringers at ByggMax. Available in three or five steps. Easy to install. Like this:
