How to Plaster Lightweight Concrete/Concrete (Fireplace)
I have built in an insert stove with lightweight concrete and above the openings, I have a reinforced concrete beam.
What should I do now when I want to plaster?
I was thinking of doing the following:
1. Attach plaster mesh to minimize cracking
2. Plaster with mortar, does ordinary masonry and plaster mortar C work? Or should I use gypsum plaster?
If using gypsum plaster, how does it work at the beams that are made of concrete?

It's hard to choose for you.... If you go with plaster Type C, it will probably be fine, but it requires a bit more work to achieve a nice, even surface if you want that. You have to use a fine trowel after using the float. Gypsum plaster is in many ways easier to work with but quite a bit more expensive. It can be smoothed with a wide steel spatula. I think gypsum is more fragile than the plaster.
Thank you for the response.
I have used multiblock.
I plan to coat the entire surface with A-bruk, set up mesh, and plaster with C bruk.
How do you get the surface nice? With a trowel or can you use a large mason's trowel to work around in circles?
Lastly, I will paint with white silicate paint, what do you think about that?
