We have built a wall on two sides of our staircase (instead of a banister). The walls are made of particle board and we have painted them white. The joints are filled with Plastic Filler and look very good, but we would still like to install two outer corner moldings and two inner corner moldings.
The thinnest outer corner moldings we've found in wood are 21 x 21 mm wide, which we think is too wide. Are there any other types of moldings? Where should we turn to?
Maybe there's something other than just outer corner moldings that can be used? In materials other than wood, for example.
We haven't found any inner corner moldings at all. What should be used there?
How have you protected outer corners that are exposed to stresses from children on tricycles and inner corners that you simply want to protect from getting small cracks over time?
Grateful for tips!

Do you mean to fill them in from the beginning or that it can be done now that the stair wall is finished? Everything is already installed and painted, we only have the installation of any corner moldings left.
Where can one find these moldings? Manufacturer?

The models I have seen are meant to be plastered in during construction, so a bit late to think of.
I'm in the same unfortunate situation otherwise
. Built my own arch without casing to get a sleek opening but have now discovered that the corners get damaged by kids, etc., cutting across. Our idea is to buy aluminum angle profile and glue or screw it onto the lower meter or so. It can be painted or perhaps left as is if it matches with wallpaper, etc.
