Found an old moisture damage in one of the rooms in the new house. Additionally, there's a musty smell when the door has been closed for a while. I think it's the tretex boards that emit this odor, and these need to go! Started tearing them out yesterday, and it wasn't the easiest task. The stuff seems pop-riveted with some sort of double-nail-like nails and is as solid as a rock. Is there any good trick to get these boards down?

a crowbar with a wide foot. Start gently and then increase. Otherwise, you can take something like a multi-master and saw out like a frame inside the nails. Then you only have one row of nails in the middle, and you break the board there and get it out in two large pieces. Barkspade is another good tool.
