How to cut window reveal?

Hello!

I'm going to install window sills, and no matter how I cut (miter saw - hand) there are small chips of paint that come off on the underside. I've tried everything, masking tape, cutting slowly, etc. I am using white-painted MDF.

How do the pros do it?

...they install unfinished MDF or glulam and then paint on site or cover the unsightliness with some caulk (though that might not be the professional solution). In the tool forum, I believe there is a thread with some tips and tricks about cutting boards with a fine surface, like what you have now.

Okay, thanks! If I don't do better, a little latex sealant will have to do. It might also be good if water is spilled on the windowsill down there... a risk when you have flower pots there and are watering.
