We live in an old house and want to restore the staircase with mirror panels.
1) How is it easiest to do this when the stringer is wavy? I guess the planed boards don't have any give at all...
2) The handrail is also wavy, and there is a height difference of 60mm. Do you have any tips on how to align the top so that the handrail is in line with the crossboard above, or should we just let it end up where it ends up? That is, parallel to the board where possible, and above/below where it follows its own form...
