I have an outdoor shower that I want to mount on a deck but I don't know how to do it since the outdoor shower needs to be taken in over the winter.

It says it should be screwed in with a French screw but I don't understand how it can be good if year after year I have to screw it on and off without the deck being damaged by "all" the screwing.

Is there a better solution that you can come up with for me?

  • Wooden outdoor shower enclosure on a patio with slatted walls under a sunny sky. Solar panel on deck. Trees and house roof in the background.
  • Outdoor shower base mounted on a wooden deck.

Now, I do not have your measurements for the mounting, but I would take a piece of pressure-treated wood, larger than the base plate. For example, 145x145, and screw it into the decking. In that piece, from underneath, I would use stainless carriage bolts. Then you only have a couple of nuts to loosen for each winter.
I would screw that piece of wood into the decking with suitable screws, lag screws or something else.

Otherwise, there are T-nuts, rampamuff, or other similar ones that might hold sufficiently?

Can't access from below!

Wrong by Åke's solution is sensible, nuts end up on the top side.

Rampamuff you can place from above

Screw bolts into the decking and nuts. 🤷🏼🤷🏼

I suggest something else then... Take two regular paving stones, the kind found on patios everywhere in Sweden. What can they be, 30x30cm?

Drill straight through these. Use plugs and screws/bolts long enough to "bite" into both to attach the shower. It will stand well. 👍👌

Advanced level: use something to glue the stones together. Drill and use a threaded rod to mount the shower with nuts. Secure the rod with anchor bonding.

But you first attach the carriage bolt to the loose plank piece, then screw it onto the decking!😀

Yes, do I understand?
I attach

Ha ha ha, that's what you mean of course!

I have a bearer under the decking so that the French screws on the left can also attach to them when the extra wooden piece is screwed in.

I have a 28mm thick decking to screw the two French screws on the right into to secure the wooden piece.

How do I think here?

Should the French screw go through the entire decking or not go through completely?

Then I would pre-drill in the decking board and let the screw pull in the support beam.

Då skulle jag förborra i trallen och låta skruven dra i bärlinan.
Well, it works for the two screws on the left, but I'm wondering about the two on the right where I'm missing a bärlina.
Should I go through the whole trallen or stop in or does it not really matter!!?

I think the foot is loose, try spinning the pipe.
Have had two models in a shared summer cottage...

Ok
Does anyone know if a demerx sunny 40-liter shower can be unscrewed from the base?

I'm afraid to apply too much force in case it breaks.

Then I wouldn't run it through the piece but let it stay in.
