A sloped wall with wooden paneling and wallpaper, showing a gap between the wall and a drywall panel at the bottom.
Hello!
I'm refreshing my son's room but ran into a problem when putting up drywall. The wall I'm attaching to is slanted, causing my straight drywall sheet not to fit. It touches the wall at the top but there's a 2-3cm gap at the floor.

What's the best way to solve this? Should I put it straight and fill in the gap with joint compound or should I cut the drywall at an angle?

It's the first time I'm trying to renovate, I should add :D

Grateful for any answers!

Hello!
I'm in the process of refreshing my son's room but ran into a problem when trying to install drywall. The wall I'm attaching to is slanted, which means my straight drywall doesn't fit properly. It rests against the wall at the top but there's a 2-3cm gap at the bottom near the floor.

What's the best way to solve this? Should I install it straight and fill the gap with spackle, or should I cut the drywall with a bit of an angle?

It's my first time attempting renovation, I should add :D

Grateful for answers!
trying to understand the picture
Is it upside down?

as I understand your text, I would cut the board with an angle since the most important thing is to just cover all walls with drywall.

Yes, it ended up lying down for some reason ‍♂️

Okay, that makes sense!

I don’t understand the picture either. But just measure in 2-3cm and cut so you get that angle.
Tip when you set the first board is that it is vertical.

Keep in mind to cut off the chamfer on the boards that meet in the corner if you want to avoid plastering a lot. The same applies when you connect to the opening for a window or a door.
