Hello! We are going to change the facade of our house + garage.

What needs to be done is that the old panel must be removed. Add insulation and put on a new panel. A few windows will be replaced at the same time.

Since we have ended up in some construction-related discussions with previous contractors, both my partner and I feel that we don't want to deal with "hassle" again. Therefore, we wish to bring in an inspector to ensure that the construction is done according to building standards and all the rules of the art, etc.

How should this be approached? Should the inspector come when everything is finished? Before and after?

Grateful for an answer.

It is difficult to inspect the additional insulation when the new panel is in place, so if you want the insulation inspected, you have to inspect it twice.

I'm thinking the same, that the inspector should come before the panel is installed and then once everything is in place.

Always good to talk to the person who will inspect and find out what can and should be inspected.
