How much more expensive is it to cast in the winter?

I am going to pour a slab of almost 100sqm to build a garage, wondering if I should pour now or wait until spring? How much more expensive is the concrete for pouring during freezing temperatures. The cost of heating mats, are they expensive stuff?

Depends a bit on where in the country you live. Winter surcharge on the concrete 100:- per cubic meter. Then there's additional cost for heating and potentially higher quality. Concrete cover mat 40-50:- per m2. Possible heating cable 40-50:-/m. Then the formwork and reinforcement must stay at least +5*C when you pour the concrete, and that can cost depending on what you use for heating. So it adds up. Then it also depends on where in the country you're planning to cast and how cold it is.

I live in the Gävle area, and near the coast, so it doesn't get so cold but it's humid in the air..
it still ends up costing quite a lot for almost 100 sqm concrete slab..
