Hello,

We are considering installing parquet on the entire upper floor (approximately 75 sqm spread across 3 rooms). The base is concrete and we are thinking of gluing directly with Casco ProFlex.

Someone we talked to said, "It depends on the size of the planks if they can be glued".

Is this correct?

Our planks are 65x18x450-560. Can they be glued?

Best regards,

Petter

Gluing of boards, planks, or beams. Any of these can be glued if desired.
Personally, I wouldn’t glue a beam to concrete, even if there are adhesives up to 85% RH.
If you get damage or the parquet lifts due to swelling, for example, it will be difficult to repair.
The best thing you can do is use expansion screws to anchor a plywood or 2 layers floating.
That way, you get a much better floor, which is easy to repair or replace, etc.
I have been working with wood and parquet floors for about 30 years.
