How is the facade brick attached to the frame?

I have brick on the gables and I hate the look of brick
My question to you is how a traditional brick wall is constructed? I obviously understand that it's laid in brick, but it must be attached to the wood frame inside in some way:wow:

The brick on the gables is coming off. The question is which way should I go?
Bring out the hammer drill and chip everything away and build a traditional wooden wall?

Or nail up studs on the brick wall and then wood paneling on that?

I had "hooks" attached to the mortar between the bricks and then fastened with loops in the frame.

I have replaced my brick facade from 1975 with a wooden facade and at the same time took the opportunity to add insulation, at least 120 mm.

Started by chiseling from the top with a sledgehammer and a chisel (mexitegel). Went perfectly fine. I then posted the bricks on the marketplace under "free to collect" and people came and took everything

I find it very difficult to incorporate something old...

Living in a house that got an extra layer of facade brick in the 70s. It is anchored with insanely long and thick "nails" that are set in the mortar.

Okay, so it's attached! Then I'll have to knock off the dirt and add some extra insulation! It will do wonders for the overall impression of the house!

The hooks are called "kramlor" in technical terms. One "kramla," multiple "kramlor."
