How do you build a ceiling with LED strip?

I am renovating a room where I want a ceiling with an LED strip. I don't want the LED strip to run along the entire room but a bit inside. I am including an image that explains what I am looking for. What I am wondering is if anyone has done something similar and possibly has a design? What I am most curious about is how to hide the LED strip so that only the light from it is visible?

Keep in mind that it places high demands on how the ceiling looks.
