Hello!

How do I make the transitions between the baseboard, door frame, and floor look nice? I'm thinking of using a quarter round from the floor to the door frame, but I'm not quite sure how to bring it all together.

Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Gap between floor and door trim with visible uneven edge.
The optimal scenario is when the floor is laid first and then the door frame is mounted. In your case, to make the most of the situation, I would remove the pink-marked part and then round the corner with the trim! Just be precise with the height of the trim, and it will look professional.

  • Door frame corner with pink mark on baseboard, above light wooden floor, suggesting modification for seamless transition between floor and frame.

Thank you! Yes, something like that might be the nicest after all.

You don't think it can look nice with kvartslist and sealant in some way?

There are many ways that will look perfectly fine, but I would have done it this way. I've done it a few times and it looks good!
As a final touch, putty and paint the trim.
