I have particle board flooring... along one wall the radiator pipes run, covered with a narrower particle board... I've removed the nails now but the board remains in place... So I'm a bit unsure, I tried inserting a screw and attempting to pry it up but the screw came loose... there are gaps but I don't want to pry because then I'll damage the other particle boards...

If I use a larger screw, I risk eventually driving it right into the radiator pipes, with my luck...

So, do you have any suggestions on how I can remove this board without causing too much damage?

The chipboard (it's probably a strip) is likely glued to some beam and it can stick quite well. If it's glued, it will probably be difficult to remove it whole. Can you access it to saw gently with a jigsaw or drill? But don’t drill through the pipes, it’s cold outside.

a strip yes, about 22mm high, 15cm deep and 1 meter long or something like that...

oh so they can be glued as well.. sigh.. I'm so curious about what kind of piping it is but now it has to stay that way until I get the courage for wilder guesses..

One almost always glues down floor chipboard. At least if you want it to be squeak-free, etc.

Avoid using a jigsaw.
It will likely protrude around 40mm on the other side of the board.
I've hit a heat pipe with a jigsaw. It resulted in a few sweaty hours with an opened floor in the neighboring room...

Use a circular saw, set to the right depth, or alternatively use the reciprocating saw carefully. You can cut plasterboards with the reciprocating saw without damaging the plastic film behind, with a bit of practice.
