Hi! I've been bothered by this seam ever since I moved into the house. How can I tidy it up in the best way? Should I use a trim or putty? If trim is the best way, how do I make it look nice against the floor and ceiling trim? The brick wall is a bit uneven and the wall sticks out a few mm further than the brick.

Mix together some mortar and fill as you see fit.

All right, have never worked with mortar but it feels like it would be difficult to make it look nice! Especially considering that the wooden wall sticks out a bit.
