Hello!

I am building a garage out of siporex blocks. On the walls, I have placed studs, and on the studs, beams are laid across the garage, see the picture. The roof will, of course, be on the beams.

Now I am unsure how to build the wall section between the blocks and the roof...

Wooden beams and brackets on top of a siporex block wall for a garage roof construction, with a power tool and extension cord visible.

I don't want wood there; I want a plastered wall all the way up. I'm considering if I can install some kind of facade board or fiber cement board, like Cembrit or Aquaroc, and continue the plaster up on them.

I can glue it to the blocks at the bottom; they are recessed on the last rows. But can I attach the facade boards to the beams at the top? I am afraid the plaster will crack when the wood moves. The alternative is that they just stand up, being glued only to the blocks at the bottom and not fastened at the top at all. Perhaps also with some bolts into the wall at the bottom. But then they might break if someone kicks a football at them or something...

Have no answer but interested in what answer you get. The stone slabs I have looked at need to be ventilated, which makes it difficult to avoid a clear transition between brick and stone slab.
