Ideally, I just want to tear it all down now, but hopefully there's some hack solution to fix the sum of 101 mistakes (some mine, most not actually). The plaster above the window has such an edge bevel downwards = when I made the top board, I measured against the wall's edge there for the trim. In hindsight, I realize I should have measured against the side wall instead because the result is that the side board sticks out half a centimeter under the top board. I'm considering gluing some kind of molding to the edge of the board and then solving the gap above the plaster with some kind of insert/caulk you can't see... I want a corner on the trim that is in line with the side wall...

One option is to apply gypsum internally within the scope, reinforce the corners with gypsum edge (corner profile), and then apply filler.
But if a quick fix is what you're after, you can just add trim, cover the gaps with acrylic sealant, and then paint everything.

Yes, thanks, I did something in between, put a strip at the top so the top board is in line with the plaster walls on the sides, then I'll use acrylic sealant under the trim at the top and in the gaps... Not optimal, but I just want to get this stuff up now.maah said:
