How close to a rock outcrop can you build?

The training takes an afternoon, is done on-site, and the cost for it including the equipment was, when I did it a couple of years ago, 10,000:- + VAT if I remember correctly. Then there's an additional cost of a few thousand for permits from the police and such, + materials, blasting mats, and powder cartridges.

If you drill and do the rough work, maybe I can help you with the actual cracking since I now have a license after cracking for my garage.

An alternative is to use expanding wedges, but it might take some time; you'll probably have to do a bit now and then

Inspection and such are not needed, that's the nice thing about cracking compared to blasting. They are two different things, you see.

I seem to remember it was on the website when I took the course. They must still have equipment for those who use that old variant. But it might also be that everyone has converted to simplex now, so it's completely gone, who knows.
