Tearing down the opening into my kitchenette.
Surely it must be lightweight concrete in the wall of an apartment from the 30s?
When I check, it feels like it, I've torn off tiles and the plaster, concrete, or whatever it is just falls down.

How do I remove the lightweight concrete wall the easiest, with what tool?
Irregularities etc. that result from removing tiles from the concrete wall, what do I use to smooth it with putty?

I plan to extend the existing lightweight concrete wall by about 1m. How do I do that easily?
Can I put up wooden studs etc. and drywall and then splice it together?

Although lightweight concrete began to be manufactured in Yxhult in 1929, it is still not very likely that you have lightweight concrete in your walls. It is more likely that you have old, weak lime plaster on either concrete, brick, or planks.

I lived in a three-story rental building from the thirties a few years ago, and there the floor frames (except for the attic), the stairwell walls, and the walls between the apartments were concrete, the exterior walls were brick, and the interior walls in the apartment were made of planks with reed mat and lime plaster on both sides. Furthermore, all the walls, ceilings, and floors were plastered with lime plaster on all sides, so it was impossible to determine the construction without further investigation with a drill.
