Bought a cabin and after a few weeks, all worst case scenarios have started…
Parts of the exterior paneling have streaks like in the attached pictures. Could this be early signs of wood borers, such as house longhorn beetle? Signs of hollow tunnels before the flight holes. Or is it simply damage in poor quality paneling?

Red wooden siding with horizontal grooves, possibly indicating early signs of woodborer infestation or damage in low-quality paneling. Close-up of red wooden siding with small cracks and a round hole, possibly indicating damage or early signs of woodworm infestation. Close-up of a red wooden exterior wall panel with horizontal groove marks, possibly indicating wood pest damage or poor quality material.

To me, it looks like something that was there when the panel was painted. Maybe the center of the log from which the board is sawed.

Thanks for the feedback! Indeed, that's what I hope for!
Even though better material would have been preferable!
