Hello,
We are considering installing an HRV with spiral ducts. Our walls and beams are made of concrete, so we will need to drill with a hole saw. The diameter of the holes will be between 12cm and 6cm. The thickness of the walls and beams is between 12cm and 15cm. I wonder if we need to consider rebar from a structural perspective? For example, I assume we will cut through rebar, and then I wonder if the wall or beams will be much weaker?
Thanks for the help

In 6-12 cm holes, it doesn't matter!
Only at 60-120 cm should you check it.
The only problem might be embedded pipes with electricity or water in walls, but you'll notice that.🥲

It's wise to run a wall scanner over the wall you're planning to drill into first to avoid mishaps.L Leif i Skåne said:
