Hi, I have a 14mm hole in the wall that needs to be sealed, repaired. Should I replace the panel board or patch up the hole? What would you do here? Thanks

Sealed it with some paintable caulk and painted. Alternatively, drilled out a wooden plug in the same diameter and glued it in place and then painted. That's how I fixed a hole after our LVP.

It's not noticeable unless you look for it.

Carve a somewhat fitting conical plug, apply some glue and tap it in. Saw off the excess once it has dried and make a few passes with something like 40-grit paper and you're done. It's a facade and not a piece of furniture, and no one will ever notice the repair, so don't overwork it.

Also thought about that then. Saw out a plug. But the hole that's there now is at a 45-degree angle. Smarter to drill the hole a bit so it becomes straight? Probably a 20mm hole if I'm going to do it?

Feels better to cut out a plug than to smear a lot of latex sealant or similar.
