Hinges, can't tell right from left
I'm going to buy hinges for my new kitchen but can't wrap my brain around which variant is which
The hinges are available in right and left versions. I thought it was that the right version meant the hinges are on the right side of the door panel, and vice versa (closed door panel). But when I see this picture on http://www.kulturbeslag.se:

the description of the picture states that it is the right version shown. This leads me to think that the right version means the panel is on the right of the hinge... i.e. what I thought was the left version
So should I think that right version = hinge on left side, left version = hinge on right side?

Probably those who are having a meltdown
If you order, for example, here http://www.nackabyggnadsvard.se/c/beslag/gangjarn/ you'll probably get it right.

As I see the picture, the left part of the hinge is screwed to the cabinet, and the right part to the door. When the door is closed, the hinge is on the right side, which makes it a right-hung door. And it won't fall to the floor when you open it, will it?
I think it seems right. But I may be wrong.

Talked to Kulturbeslag who manufacture the hinges above and the answer was, as assumed, that hinges in right-hand design = right-hung door. I myself can't make sense of this with the picture above, but I simply have to attribute it to my incompetence in interpreting the picture!
Imagine that you take the right part of the hinge and fold it over the left part.bonnier said:
