Which version of Internet Explorer? You can find the version number in the menu bar under Help > About Internet Explorer. (The menu bar is not always visible. If it is not visible, you can right-click on the "tab bar" and check "Menu bar".) Do you write the text directly in the field under the heading "Quick Reply" or do you write it in Word and paste the text?
I have a similar project ahead of me, but it will probably take a year or two before I start....
I will remove the uninsulated concrete floor to insulate and pour a new slab with underfloor heating. This also provides an opportunity to clear space for wiring if desired. I also have some crazy ideas about creating a slightly larger space downwards for larger speakers (subwoofer).
For the outer walls, it will be metal studs + suitable surface finish.
I actually plan to get help from someone knowledgeable in the field to build a room with proper acoustics. I don't think it costs that many extra thousands to do it right from the start. However, I will do the construction myself.

Per, I have version 8! I write "reply" directly in the field! However, I now see a yellow triangle in my left corner of the computer with an exclamation mark in it; next to this symbol it says ready. If this could have anything to do with it? Mathias! Thanks for your answer, digging out the concrete is not something I really want to do; it will be platon floor panel and a carpet! I also considered bringing someone in who can advise me on how to proceed. Do you have anyone to recommend, or do you think, for example, that hifiklubben is knowledgeable about this? I am thinking of just hanging fabrics around the whole room that hang about 10 cm from the exterior wall, to minimize and keep an eye on potential moisture problems. But it would be fun to build something a bit more solid!
Just a little warning about minhembio.com. Many of the builders seem to know more about sound and image than about construction methods. Some choose completely crazy ways to build and will face consequences down the line.

I don't know if that is enough to completely dampen the echo for a home theater, but when we hung curtains in our extension, the echo was significantly reduced. We have long curtains about 10 cm from the wall from floor to ceiling on one of the long walls.Jobo123 said:
I'm thinking of thick, heavy fabrics with a high density covering all the walls, and for the ceiling, something dampening, along with a carpet on the floor! It should dampen quite well, right? The question is if it's too simple and boring, it would be fun to build something a bit more "stylish" and serious!
I have little knowledge of the market of sound consultants, but if I had my choice, it would be nice to have a visit from Ingvar Öhman at Ino Audio. However, he seems to be a tricky character who is probably booked for the next 8 years.Jobo123 said:Per I have version 8! I am writing "answers" directly in the field! Hmm....can't give you an example right now but that felt quite far from any of the "fine" projects on minhembio. Cluttered room and really nothing done about acoustics.
I live with the belief that you can get relatively simple speakers to sound very good if you know what you're doing in terms of room acoustics. I think it's a better path than adding lots of power, many speakers, and electronics to fix the problems...
