I am going to add a small open loft in the living room. I will attach the joists to an existing wall; the span of the joists is 3380mm, so I have read that I can manage with 45*220 timber. But on the opposite side of the wall that will support the joists, I will have glulam beams supported by columns on each side. The span of the glulam beam is 6090mm. My question is, what dimensions are required for the glulam beam?! Very grateful for an answer. Best regards, Daniel
