I am planning to build a conservatory extending out from the house at an angle.
There will be windows at the front and I was thinking of a beam above them. On top of that beam, a pillar leading up to a laminated beam at the ridge that goes towards the house. The windows at the front will be a total of 420 cm, and there will only be two supports on that beam. I would need help calculating how strong that beam needs to be, it will be steel or wood.
The roof slope will be 22 degrees with a metal roof, insulation, and interior cladding.
