Hello!

I have a puppy that has scratched through the wallpaper in one area and left approximately 5-10mm deep grooves in the drywall.
Any suggestions on how to fix these grooves?
Is it possible to just fill and repaint, or does something else need to be done?

Grateful for any tips :)

Just regular spackel.

cut the dog's claws....

yes you can spackle....

I would remove the wallpaper at this place or cut slightly deeper grooves. So that the filler would adhere in depth. Vacuum with a brush before filling. You can even brush on a little water. Otherwise, the filler might detach from the surface.

if this occurs next to the dog's sleeping area/basket and the problem continues, you can suggest placing thin plexiglass on the wall. prevents the problem and the dog does not dirty the wall

Probably the best suggestion.
