Hello!
I'm working on insulating the garage, fire-rated EI30 in the exterior walls and ceiling.
I've installed the first layer of drywall in the garage ceiling along with the battens and cross-battened with PB100 at the short joints. I'm now planning to install the second layer of drywall across the battens/boards. What I'm wondering is whether I need to support with PB100 along the entire long edge of the outer layer drywall. It does rest on the inner layer and will be screwed cc30 all the way, so it feels a bit unnecessary. I've looked for information but can't quite figure it out as different information is provided or maybe I'm misunderstanding.
Both layers of boards will be fully screwed.
"Note! For fire-rating EI 30 with two layers of 12.5 mm Gyproc Drywall, both layers need to be fully screwed and the boards in the inner layer should be installed along the beam spacing c 300 mm, and the short edges of the boards should be supported with Metal Strap PB 100.

(Above: I interpret this as only the inner layer needs to be supported at the short edges.)
"Note! For fire-rating EI 30 and two layers of Gyproc 12.5 mm Drywall, all board edges must be supported. The boards should be installed along the cross/secondary profile at c 300 mm, and short edges should be supported with PB 100."

(Above: Requires all board edges to be supported, does this mean that the board must rest on either battens, cross beams, or another board?)
"Multiple layers
All joints should be staggered.
You can change direction from one layer to the next.
The last layer should be installed perpendicular to the underlying surface.
All cross-installed short edges should be supported, and long-installed short edges in the outer board layer."

(Above: Long installed short edges in the outer board layer should be supported. Are they supported if they rest on another board or what does this mean? The short edge is screwed into the transverse batten.)
I apologize if I come across as a bit slow here, but I'm a bit neurotic and want it to be right.
Thanks for the help and have a great weekend!!
