Hello!
Tonight we're going to try to get the glulam beam in place. We've cut out a support for the beam of about 20 cm in the concrete wall, but we will also support it with poles at both ends of the beam. How do you secure this safely and, above all, nicely???? The ends on the inside of the kitchen will be clad with drywall, so we thought of putting mounting plates between the beam and pole there, but on the other side toward the living room, the wallpaper should cover the 20 cm support. Can the beam also be glued to the ceiling? ...and the poles, do you screw them directly into the concrete wall with long screws and plugs?... I would prefer if no screws or mounting irons are visible...
