I'm so tired of myself. I cut up Masonite that's under the click flooring in the kitchen without thinking, using a multitool with Biltema's blade for wood and plastic. There are both electrical and radiator pipes in the floor. A cut was made in the radiator pipe. It's plastic-coated. The pipe is stainless steel (I think, not copper anyway). I can't see any leaks at all. Should I sigh with relief and think "lucky, nothing to fix" or replace the damaged section? What should I do? Sigh.

Attaching an image of the cross-section as well as an image of how the pipe looks when it is exposed.

  • Exposed pipe uncovered from dirt, with a cut section of surrounding material visible above.
  • Exposed pipes emerging from a floor with insulation material, showing the cross-section of one pipe.

Definitely looks like copper,
Carefully remove the plastic at the damage and check if the copper underneath is damaged. If the pipe is intact and you have only cut into the casing, then it's probably not a big deal.

Looks like regular prisolrör. That is, copper with plastic on the outside.

Thanks for the reply!

In the picture, the pipe looks like copper, I see now. In reality, however, the pipe is steel-colored. I'll peel away a bit of the plastic.

No leakage. Lucky! Thank you for your response!
