Hello!
I'm going to build a pier, and despite searching on Google and forums, I'm a bit unsure if I've considered the dimensions sufficiently.

The pier will be built on piers with dimensions of 5x15 m and about 1 m overhang on the ridge. The pier itself will be high enough to withstand the ice, but the piers/posts will stand in the water.

I have planned the following (see image)
- pier distance (long side) 3 m
- pier distance (short side) 3.8 m
- beams 2 pcs 45x220 c24
- joists 45x195, cc 80 cm (span 3.8m)
- decking 45x145

Some additional details:
- due to difficulty in making the pier low enough (it's built on an old breakwater), I can't fit a beam on one long side, here I thought of attaching every other joist with a post shoe directly to the base - is this sufficient?
- can I use wooden posts 150x150 just as well as cast piers?

You won't be breaking any studs, even if it's used as a truck parking lot. It's possible to use wooden poles, but the question is how, and how the wood is protected. Each pole will be under heavy loads, and wood is not nearly as durable as concrete. Wood also doesn't withstand water as well as concrete. Especially if it stands, with end grain facing up and down. It must then be NTR-A or perhaps an old telephone pole.

Yes, maybe I should cast instead, a bit more work of course. The posts I plan to use are 150×150 in NTR A but they will of course be worn by the ice and I want the bridge to last many years to come.

It's just 3-4 beams with a span of about 4 meters. It's almost what a 195 beam can handle in a floor structure. In a floor structure, it's designed for about 400kg/m2, which is nearly 10 times the load you'll put on the bridge. So I promise you won't experience any deflection. You could probably even use 45x145 without any problem.

Regarding the plinths, I'm not quite sure what to advise without having seen how it looks.
