Has anyone mixed their own gypsum plaster?
Thinking about it - would be fun if I could.
You can buy plaster mortar that is pure plaster - if I understood correctly. For example (the top one):
http://www.norgips.se/produkter/lim-bruk--spackel/gipsbruk/index1,132.htm
In plaster render, if I understood correctly, there is also some lime, as well as sand - about 0-1.2 mm.
The question is - what are the proportions - and what type of sand can you use?
Sand, for example this:

What do you think?

30 kg gypsum costs 100.
20 kg Nordkalk's slaked lime costs around 70 SEK - Finja's costs 10 kg 79 SEK.
16 kg sand costs 70 at Biltema. Likely possible to find cheaper.
I think the proportions are about 70% gypsum, 5% lime, and the rest sand. BUT I'M NOT SURE!
Gypsum plaster comes in two different ready-made variants. In one, you should pre-wet absorbent surfaces and prime non-absorbent surfaces instead - like Norgips 179 SEK for 25 kg.
With Knauf, you should prime the opposite way. Knauf costs 100 for 20 kg - at Bauhaus online, but when I was there in person, it was 129 or 139 SEK. However, I don't know what Primer costs since it wasn't available at Bauhaus.
In my case, I have an absorbent surface.
I assume it's different with different gypsum plaster because they have different additive chemicals in them.
So - with Biltema's sand, I come out at half the price since I have the lime at home. IF I calculate with Nordkalk's which doesn't need priming.
Using Knauf's without priming wouldn't be much cheaper but slightly.
