The wall studs are at the wrong distance when I'm trying to mount brackets for my radiators (fin model). The walls are OSB + drywall or chipboard + drywall, and are quite firmly glued and screwed on the studs.

There are two mounting points with 8mm screw holes in each radiator bracket, and there are two brackets per radiator.

Is it safe to hang the radiator on the wall when you don't get a hold in the studs? It has to hold even if a child or less knowledgeable adult presses down on the radiator from above.

What should I screw with - some kind of anchor, I assume?

I would prefer not to tear the wall open, and I'm not eager to buy floor brackets for 600 SEK a pair...

Mollyplugg should do the trick.

Regular but coarse wood screws will work great. I don't understand why you would mess with expanders or plugs.

35 kilos is "nothing." If I understand you correctly, you can also use four screws on the element. You will be able to sit on the element without any problems.

MathiasS is absolutely right.
That's why you put an OSB-Chipboard or plywood board behind it.
Anyone recommending anchors in this situation is ignorant and should not give advice when they don't know.

Then it's lucky that the better knowledgeable ones exist, right:)
Molly works (maybe a bit overkill though)
