Handrail brackets. Find the same or clean?

Now that we are renovating the stairwell, we've removed the handrail and the brackets. I see no reason to install a new rail, so I plan to spruce it up and reuse it. But the brackets feel really dingy, with paint smears and tarnishing.

Is it possible to find new ones that are the same, or how can I spruce these up?

There are quite a few different variants of handrail fittings.

Looks like a standard handrail bracket is available at many hardware stores/building supplies.

Ok. Maybe I'll take it to a store and check if the threads etc. match.
