Gypsum quality, which one to buy?

Hi! Is there a difference in the quality of plasterboard (indoors)?

I will have 2 layers of plasterboard on an existing wooden board.

Which manufacturer is recommended?

I live within driving distance to bauhaus, byggmaxx, beijer, hornbach, k-rauta

Without specific expertise, I would guess that there are roughly the same quality differences between various gypsum products as there are between different table salt products. It’s CaSO4•1/2H2O mixed with H2O in all cases (and NaCl in table salt).

Generally, I would say that the board is of better quality on sheets that come from well-known brands, it facilitates especially during screwing.

Hornbach sells Norgips and is cheaper than Bauhaus, so go there and shop is my advice.
