currently renovating at home and removed drywall that was on the exterior wall. there was a lot of mold behind these. the wall is made of brick which is then plastered on the inside. I was thinking of this as a solution to the problem: knock down all the loose plaster and place spacers between the wall and the drywall to create an air gap. or is it best to knock down all the plaster and replaster and paint with a breathable paint? or are there other solutions? on all the other walls there will be drywall.

Best regards

Hello! You must have an energy-demanding house, if I understood correctly. Are the exterior walls lacking insulation? I see that you are from Skåne, where perhaps insulation in the exterior walls is not necessary. Adding spacers sounds better, but I think the problem remains. It condenses behind the boards when it is cold outside.
