Gypsum new sub-ceiling

Hello everyone,
I'm installing a new ceiling.

I've screwed 45x45 battens on a 60 cm center-to-center spacing and plan to attach gypsum boards (60x180) to this.

My question is: Is this correct? The gypsum will only be supported by screws on two battens lengthwise. Should I use a 30 cm center-to-center spacing instead?

You must frame c/c 30 in the ceiling if you want gypsum there.

Visit sites like Gyproc or Norgips (I believe Gyproc now requires registration, free. I've found good documents there about how to frame, correct screw distances, etc. But also the correct method for plastering (for heaven's sake, don't use fiberglass tape, it should be paper tape). Danogips likely has descriptions as well.

But cc30 is good, there are also rules for whether you should mount the boards perpendicular to the framing or not, etc. Now I don't remember the details; it was about a year ago I looked there.

Now I saw that you were going to use 60 X 180. Then other measurements might apply. This is certainly also available with the manufacturers.
