Hello,

We finished tiling the last section last night, next is grouting and I have a couple of questions:

1. To protect the stone, I've used painter's tape and plastic, perhaps not the best choice? Anyway, it looks something like this (picture before tiling)

Should I try to remove the tape before grouting, or can I cut it away later?

2. The fix bag (Höganäs) states that you should wait 1-2 days before grouting. Does this mean I have to wait until tomorrow evening to be on the safe side? Otherwise, I think 1 day might apply to some more unfavorable environments? Or is it 1-2 days in an ordinary indoor environment?

3. How do you grout tiles that are beveled? I've grouted tiles that are completely flat where you drag diagonally and then wipe off. Here it seems clearly more difficult to get nice joints since the tool might not reach the grout?

This is what the tiles look like but in white:

Perhaps someone is wondering about the answers later on:

1. The tape can remain as you don't grout the bottom row anyway, instead silicone is applied there. However, expect that it's a bit tricky to remove the tape.

2. It likely depends on the adhesive, but according to the manufacturer, I could have grouted the next day considering the current conditions.

3. No problems grouting, press the grout in with the trowel and then pull diagonally to clean up. Use a soft grout float!
