I'm working on fixing up a room. There's a draft from the ceiling molding, and I don't want damp air coming in from the attic.
Is it okay to seal along the entire walls under the ceiling molding with acrylic sealant?
Is there a risk that I might seal too much and it could lead to mold problems instead?

No, there's no problem with sealing too much. Acrylic works fine. But isn't there a way you can solve this from the attic instead? It seems like something is wrong with the insulation if air is coming down like that.

Hopefully, this will only be a short-term solution. You're right, there is no plastic under the insulation in the attic, and there should be, right?

Yes, but not to prevent air from going down, but to prevent moisture from the room from going up to the attic and condensing.

But if there's a draft at the eaves, there should be some insulation missing somewhere.
