Going to build an Octagon (8 sided)
I am going to build a small deck-like structure around my flagpole, it should be as round as possible, but I am thinking of making it 8-sided for simplicity.
Now I wonder if there is a good function online where I can calculate the angles and measurements I should use for the outer frame. If I want a certain diameter.
I hope you understand my question.
Best regards,
Marcus

The angles remain the same regardless of the size of the ring. 360/8.
360/8 = 45
45/2 = 22.5 (if it shall be added together)
45/2 = 22.5 (if it shall be added together)
The angle is, as previously mentioned, 135 degrees at each junction, and each side's length is approximately 0.38 times the length of the diameter.
Or if you prefer, the diameter is approximately 2.613 times the length of the sides.

Regarding the angle sum, it is in a polygon with n number of corners (n-2)*180.
And if you want it even simpler, just google octagon calculator and you'll find pages where you enter the desired value.
