Hello, brainstorming an idea. Planning to build a fence between my driveway and my neighbor's. There are currently 100 posts, and the idea was to build a new fence... until now.
Could I put up 5 posts of 100 cm (height about 140-150 cm)? Attach reinforcement mesh on both sides. Then fill with stones. The ground is soil underneath, but I think gravity will take care of it...
The distance will be 4x150 cm.
Are there meshes and stones that would fit? And how would you attach the mesh?

Of course it works. Gabions are usually constructed in free-standing cubes but that may not be necessary.
The nets should be anchored to each other at suitable points so that the pressure force is absorbed. Then it should be wide enough to stand on its own and soil as a base doesn't seem right at all. It's a heavy and laborious job to build nice gabion walls. Just getting the stone is heavy.
