I'm planning to install Moelven's pre-painted indoor panel on the inside of an outer wall. I'm wondering if it's a good idea to glue the panel to the wall instead of nailing it. What do you pros think out there? Which glue?

I had not glued this panel, I have it at home myself and have nailed it with a brad nailer, i.e., completely hidden mounting.

What is the reason you want to glue?

Thanks for the answer MB77! Thought it might be a bit tricky to find the studs. Tried a few stud finders but they seem a bit unreliable. A finish nail with a nail gun is the alternative of course.

See no obstacle in gluing the panel boards with a good mounting adhesive as long as the wallpaper is well attached.

hi, thanks for the reply P-plats!. It is not panel boards but Moelven interiörpanel Trend in planed solid wood, (14x120). My hesitation about gluing is due to possible movements in the panels as they dry. I believe there is a risk that it will dry more even if the moisture content is low from the start.

I was completely convinced that it was full boards.
I don't think many have tried gluing panels, but why wouldn't that work?
You can always complement with dyker in the studs.
